The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction of Rs 4.89 paisa in Fuel Charge Adjustment (FCA) for K-Electric for August, according to a notification issued by NEPRA.
K-Electric had requested a reduction of Rs 4.21 paisa per unit, said the notification.
The authority held a public hearing on FCA on September 29, said NEPRA.
Earlier, the FCA for July had been charged to consumers with a reduction of Rs 4.12 paisa per unit, said the regulator.
Consumers would be charged 77 paisa less FCA for August compared to July. It will be applicable for 1 month only, said NEPRA. It will not apply to lifeline customers, domestic customers consuming up to 300 units of electricity, agricultural customers, and electric-vehicle charging stations, said the authority.
