LAHORE: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said on Thursday that he has no hope from those who back the incumbent government, and the people are looking towards the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He claimed that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wanted to expel him for the country’s politics.
Addressing his party workers via video link, Imran Khan said that PTI had announced the date of the elections rally day before yesterday. However, police fixed the route of the rally and Section 144 was unexpectedly imposed on the day of the PTI’s rally, he remarked. He said that containers were placed on the roads and tear gas and water cannons were also deliberately used on the PTI workers.
