ISLAMABAD: NATO’s Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has conveyed his thanks to Kuwait for its part in facilitating work to maintain stability and security in the region.
Stoltenberg made this statement during a ceremony in which Kuwaiti Ambassador Nawaf Al-Enezi presented his credentials as the ambassador of Kuwait to NATO.
NATO chief praises Kuwaiti efforts
According to the Kuwait News Agency, the NATO chief recalled the efforts made by Kuwait in operating and hosting NATO’s regional center. The center catered to the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative’s member countries.
Al Enezi passed on greetings of the leadership in Kuwait, including Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who is Kuwait’s foreign minister, to Stoltenberg.
The Kuwaiti diplomat also expressed his willingness to work with NATO to enhance mutual ties at various levels.
