LAHORE: The commencement of the National U16 One Day Cup 2023-24 is scheduled for Wednesday, spanning across three cities: Karachi, Faisalabad, and Lahore. The 16 regional teams have been categorized into three pools, with Pool A and B consisting of five teams each, and Pool C accommodating six teams.
In this 50-over tournament, Karachi will host the Pool A matches, Faisalabad will be the venue for Pool B encounters, and Lahore will witness the games of Pool C. The pool stage is set to conclude on 29 February, paving the way for the Triangular stage, slated to be held in Faisalabad from 3 March to 7 March. The tournament’s pinnacle, the final, is slated for 9 March at Bohranwali Ground in Faisalabad.
An aggregate of Rs930,000 million is earmarked for distribution at the tournament’s culmination. The champions will claim a grand prize of Rs500,000 million, while the runners-up will pocket Rs250,000.
Additionally, accolades await outstanding performers, with the player of the tournament, best batter, best bowler, best wicket-keeper, best fielder, and player of the final match each receiving Rs30,000.
