RIYADH: The Chairman of the National Society for Human Rights, Khaled bin Abdul Rahman Al Fakhri, has praised the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia for supporting human rights of all individuals living within Saudi borders, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The Saudi government in a humanitarian gesture, has announced that it will cover the costs for adjusting the residency status of displaced people from neighboring nations.
Khaled bin Abdul Rahman Al Fakhri added that the step demonstrates the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to human rights.
The initiative includes fees for dependents of displaced individuals, residency fees, and fines for violations of the residency system. The Saudi initiative will improve the livelihoods of thousands of displaced individuals, providing them the opportunity for a respectable life and a secure future.
