National Flag Hoisted at Quaid-e-Azam Residency on Independence Day

QUETTA: Commissioner of Sibi Division, Shahid Saleem Qureshi, stressed the collective responsibility of all citizens to combat corruption and pave the way for sustained development in the country. He made these remarks during a ceremony held at the Quaid-e-Azam Residency in Ziarat to hoist the national flag on Independence Day.

The event, which saw the Commissioner hoisting the national flag, was attended by prominent figures including Frontier Corps (FC) Loralai Brigadier Razak, Deputy Commissioner Ziarat, and Assistant Commissioner Ziarat.

Pakistan’s Independence Day Celebration

In his address, Commissioner Shahid Saleem Qureshi underscored the significance of eradicating corruption to propel the nation toward progress. He called upon every citizen to contribute to this endeavor, stressing that the May 9 tragedy is a stance unanimously rejected by patriotic Pakistanis.

Reminiscing about the historical journey that led to the creation of Pakistan under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Commissioner highlighted the sacrifices made by the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent to establish the country.

“Our forefathers and elders have laid down their lives for the birth of this nation,” Commissioner Qureshi stated, adding that Pakistan stands as a testament to the enduring ideals encapsulated in the Kalima Tayyab and holds the distinction of being the world’s first nuclear power.

Commissioner Qureshi also acknowledged the sacrifices of security forces in establishing peace in Balochistan and affirmed the province’s commitment to improving law and order for the betterment of development initiatives.
