ISLAMABAD: The nation is celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) today (Friday) with great religious zeal and fervor across the country.
The day began with a salute of 31 guns salute at the federal capital and 21 guns salute in all four provincial capitals. Immediately following the Fajr prayers, special prayers were offered in the mosques for the progress and prosperity of the nation as well as the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Special conferences, events, rallies, and Mehafil-e-Milad would be organized throughout the day to honour the Holy Prophet (PBUH), whose life and teachings serve as a beacon of light for all of humanity.
To mark the auspicious occasion, houses, streets, mosques, and other structures have been adorned with bright lights.
President Dr. Arif Alvi and caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar have urged the nation to obey the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) of brotherhood and compassion besides following his message of unity to become an example of tolerance and coexistence.
