NEW YORK, USA: NASA has delayed the launch of its Crew-9 mission with SpaceX to September 28 due to Tropical Storm Helene, which is expected to bring high winds and heavy rain to Cape Canaveral. The mission, originally scheduled for August, was already postponed for further analysis of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft.
The Crew-9 mission will send NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov to the International Space Station (ISS). It marks the ninth crew rotation under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program in partnership with SpaceX, utilizing the Dragon spacecraft for the journey.
