Republicans control the House with thin majority

Republicans now control the House with a thin majority. Democrats think they have a chance to regain the majority as President Joe Biden contests the election for a second term.

Pelosi in a statement on social media platform X formally twitter said: Now more than ever our City needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recovery.

She added that the US needs to demonstrate to the other nations that it is still the most powerful country in the world having liberty and justice for every one and that is why she is running for re-election.

Pelosi has been an influential lawmaker, important party figure and strong fundraiser for Democrats.

She was elected first to Congress in 1987.  Pelosi is the first women to become Speaker in 2007, and in 2019 she regained the slot.

Pelosi is among the party’s most significant fundraisers for the House and key political plans.
