ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a special helpline to facilitate the issuance of computerized national identity cards (CNICs) directly at the doorstep for individuals with disabilities.
This initiative announced recently, aims to streamline the CNIC acquisition process, particularly for those facing mobility or other physical challenges in visiting NADRA registration centers. Under this service, NADRA officials will personally visit the residences of individuals with disabilities to collect necessary documents, record biometric data, and issue CNICs. By bringing the issuance process directly to their homes, NADRA ensures equitable access to this essential identity document for all segments of society.
The establishment of the Special Helpline 1777 serves as a centralized support platform for individuals with disabilities, providing comprehensive assistance and guidance on NADRA’s services, including the home-based CNIC issuance procedure.
