QUETTA: Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started 21 new NADRA Registration Centers (NRCs) and 6 Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) in the southwestern Balochistan province to enhance accessibility of the people to essential registration services,
These NADRA Registration Centers and Mobile Registration Vans were inaugurated by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in a ceremony on Wednesday attended by high-profile officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.
The ceremony was also attended by Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, the Director General of NADRA for the Balochistan Region, and other dignitaries.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar commended NADRA’s efforts to enhance accessibility to essential registration services, highlighting how these initiatives are crucial for the province’s development.
Among the new centers, three are dedicated exclusively to women and are located in Pishin, Loralai, and Khuzdar. Other centers have been set up in Faridabad, Dasht Yeh Goran, Bala Nari, Babakot, Lakhra, Kingri, Jain Prom, Herdin, Loi, Gashkur, Gadar, Talao, Shaheed Mehrabad, Panjapai, Nana Sahib, Kirkjau, Manjhipur, and Loiband. These locations were chosen based on the urgent need for registration services in these communities.
In areas with limited internet access, NADRA will deploy mobile registration vans equipped with modern facilities and satellite internet. These vans will bring registration services to residents in remote regions, significantly improving their access to necessary documentation and services.
This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to enhancing governance and service delivery throughout Balochistan, ensuring that even the most isolated communities benefit from these essential services.
