NAB Withdraws Petitions Against Zardari
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday decided to withdraw petitions against the acquittal of former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
NAB said in the Islamabad High Court that available pieces of evidence against the accused did not meet the required legal standards, therefore, it deemed further investigation futile.
It is to be noted that NAB had challenged the former president’s acquittal in four cases including Ursus Tractors, SGS-Cotecna, and Polo Ground cases.
