ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan has proposed to revive ‘Islamabad International Airport’ as ‘Benazir Bhutto International Airport’ as he spoke in the National assembly here on Thursday.
The National Assembly (NA) approved the proposal to restore the name of ‘Islamabad International Airport’ to ‘Benazir Bhutto International Airport’. Nawabzada Iftikhar Khan said that the previous government renamed ‘Benazir Bhutto International Airport’ as ‘Islamabad International Airport adding ’Islamabad International Airport” was named after Benazir Bhutto as a tribute to the sacrifices of the Bhutto family.
