N Korea launches Another Ballistic Missile: Claims S Korea

SEOUL: South Korea has claimed that its arch-rival neighbour Norther Korea launched yet another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

South Korea Condemns Blast

The Norther Korea carried out the ICBM experiment after it launched a smaller missile and warned “fiercer military responses to the United States over its heavy presence in the Korean Peninsula.

The South Korean defence ministry also said that the missile appeared to be an ICBM. Japan navy and coast guards also confirmed the launch.

The ICBM is North Korea’s longest-range missile with a capability to carry a nuclear warhead, which could target any location as far away as in the US continental.

Earlier blast

On Thursday, North Korea fired yet another short-range ballistic missile it what the country said was in response to the US measures to boost its military presence in the Korean Peninsula. North Korea said that the US was pursuing a gamble it will regret.

Earlier, North Korea condemned the trilateral summit of the United States, South Korea and Japan who slated Pyongyang’s missile tests. The three countries pledged greater security cooperation to ward off the threat emanating from North Korea.
