PYONGYANG: In a recent development, North Korea has reportedly convened a meeting within the ruling Workers’ Party to discuss the outcomes of leader Kim Jong-un’s recent visit to Russia.
The meeting, held by the central committee of the Workers’ Party, included a thorough examination of Kim’s trip, which was deemed significant for bilateral relations between North Korea and Russia.
Kim Song-nam, the director of the party’s international affairs department, presented a comprehensive report during the session. His report included an analysis of the visit’s significance and the introduction of long-term plans aimed at fostering and developing the bilateral relationship between North Korea and Russia.
During the meeting, Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader himself, emphasized the importance of actively implementing constructive measures to further enhance and expand bilateral relations across various domains.
Furthermore, the politburo discussed practical steps to apply the successes achieved during Kim Jong-un’s “external activities” throughout his nine-day visit to Russia. Notably, this visit included a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Vostochny space center last Wednesday.
