MWL Issues Periodic Report on its Programs Around the World

MAKKAH The Muslim World League (MWL) has issued its periodic report on programs and initiatives around the world, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

The report details compliance with the “Charter of Makkah” and the “Charter of Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects.”

It also discussed the establishment of the Association of ASEAN Scholars, the Council of African Scholars, and the Council of Religious Leaders in North and South America and European countries.

The report highlighted the strengthening of the role of the Islamic Fiqh Council, of which senior muftis and Muslim scholars are members.

The report also includes a detailed statement by MWL on its endeavors to strengthen the religious unity of Muslims, on confronting extremism, and Islamophobia in dialogue with major research centers, and on intellectual international studies that seek to clarify the Muslim stand on a number of important matters.
