RIYADH: The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli army’s attack on the Jabalia camp in the besieged Gaza Strip. The attack resulted in the deaths of several people, including innocent civilians, and caused immense suffering.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL, expressed his deep concern about this grave escalation and called on the international community to fulfill its duty in protecting civilians from such severe collective punishment, which constitutes a blatant violation of international laws and norms.
The MWL, a prominent international Muslim organization, has urged an immediate cessation of these acts of mass destruction, which have deeply shaken the conscience of people worldwide. The attack on the Jabalia camp, one of the largest refugee camps in Gaza, has drawn widespread condemnation for its devastating impact on the lives of innocent civilians, including women and children.
The Israeli army claimed that it targeted a Hamas tunnel complex beneath the densely populated camp and also reported the killing of a senior Hamas commander allegedly involved in the group’s attacks on October 7th.
The MWL’s condemnation of this attack underscores the international community’s concerns about the ongoing conflict in the region and highlights the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to prevent further suffering and loss of life.
