ISLAMABAD: With the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, mosques nationwide have provided worshippers with an atmosphere conducive to offering prayers with tranquility and sanctity.
According to media reports, many people observed the first Sehri meal at home, while there was also a notable influx of people in restaurants.
An administrative officer from a local mosque stated, “We are exerting every effort to create a serene and sacred environment for worshippers to offer their prayers.”
Imams highlighted special arrangements made for Sehri and Iftar within mosques, emphasizing the significance of this month. They also noted a significant surge in the number of people attending mosques during Ramadan, with special prayers offered for the prosperity, integrity, and well-being of the country and its people.
Additionally, citizens mentioned the charitable initiatives undertaken by mosques and organizations, such as organizing free Iftar tables for the poor segment of society.
Furthermore, the tradition of large Iftar gatherings, featuring a variety of foods, sweets, fruits, and beverages, was highlighted as a means of fostering love, friendship, and brotherhood among fasting Muslims and minorities. —APP
