KABUL: A delegation of Muslim scholars currently visiting Afghanistan continued its meetings with Afghan officials, engaging in discussions on pressing issues related to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
During these meetings, the delegation held meetings with Afghan authorities, including Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Shari’i, Minister of Justice, and Mawlawi Sheikh Muhammad Khaled Hanafi, Minister of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
The primary focus of these discussions was on priority matters outlined by the OIC, with a particular emphasis on girls’ education and women’s employment. These topics were addressed within the framework of monitoring the implementation of resolutions adopted by the Council of Foreign Ministers pertaining to Afghanistan’s current situation.
The delegation took the opportunity to gain insights into the ongoing efforts initiated by the Taliban authority’s government in Afghanistan regarding these crucial issues. Additionally, the delegation received comprehensive updates on the government’s relentless endeavors aimed at ensuring national security, stability, and holistic development across the country.
