ISLAMABAD: Elon Musk said on Monday that his artificial-intelligence knowledge platform Grokipedia will now debut “at the end of the week,” citing the need for additional work to remove biased or propagandistic material before the rollout.
The announcement came through Musk’s verified X account, where he posted: “Postponing Grokipedia v0.1 launch to end of week. We need to do more work to purge out the propaganda.”

According to coverage by TechCrunch and Cybernews, Grokipedia—an extension of xAI’s conversational model Grok—is designed as a crowdsourced information hub integrated within the X platform.
The delay follows weeks of internal testing and user anticipation around its “open-knowledge” architecture.
Project representatives, speaking on background, indicated that the team is using the extra time to ensure the platform meets higher standards of transparency and content verification.
They added that the final release will align with xAI’s broader effort to make Grok “less filtered and more factual.”
Analysts cited by Cointelegraph said the decision underscored the mounting tension between rapid AI rollouts and public concerns over disinformation, bias, and algorithmic transparency.
Outlook
Industry observers noted that Musk’s framing of the postponement as a “purge” reflects his ongoing push for what he calls “truth-based AI systems.”
The release later this week is expected to coincide with broader xAI updates, including tighter integration between Grok, X, and potential community-driven moderation tools.
