SAN FRANCISCO: Tesla boss and Twitter owner Elon Musk briefly lost his crown as the world’s richest man on Wednesday, Forbes said.

LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault briefly took the title of the richest man in the world but became number 2 with a personal wealth of 185.3 billion US dollars.  Tesla boss and Twitter owner Elon Musk, who has held the top position since 2021, took over the title from Jeff Bezos.  Musk’s net worth dropped below 200 billion US dollars earlier on November 8, 2022.

It may be recalled that Tesla had lost nearly half of its value and Musk’s net worth had also dropped by 70 billion US dollars since the Tesla boss bid for social media company Twitter in April.

Twitter’s owner CEO Elon Musk had also faced a crisis-like situation in the past as a large number of employees announced to resign from the firm.
