ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women’s Empowerment, Mushaal Hussain Mullick, has called on the international community to take immediate action against illegal activities and safeguard civilians in Gaza and Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
In an interview with a private news channel, Mullick emphasized the dire situation in IIOJK and Palestine, describing them as virtual prisons where numerous individuals, including women, lawyers, and youths, are detained, and employees are facing dismissals.
Highlighting the severe use of force and pellet guns against the Kashmiri population, she asserted that the global community cannot overlook the undeniable reality that the resolution of the Kashmir issue is crucial for regional peace.
Expressing hope, she stated that no power in the world can deny any nation its fundamental rights, and she believes that the people of Kashmir and Palestine will soon exercise their right to self-determination.
Mullick lamented the insufficient attention from world powers towards the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Israeli and Indian troops. She pointed out that both Israeli and Indian forces have caused the martyrdom of numerous innocent civilians, with Israeli forces not hesitating to target hospitals and schools.
Emphasizing unity within the Muslim Ummah, Mullick called for collective action in support of the Palestinian and Kashmiri people. She urged Muslim countries to diplomatically and economically boycott Israel and stressed the need for a joint mechanism to exert pressure on Israel to halt the genocide in Palestine.
Responding to a query, she reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to its stance of not recognizing Israel and India until the Palestinian and Kashmiri people achieve independent states in accordance with UN resolutions.
