ISLAMABAD: Hurriyat leader Mushaal Malik paying heartfelt tributes to the iconic Kashmiri leader Shaheed Syed Ali Shah Gilani said his struggle will continue to inspire the Kashmiri people in their ongoing quest for self-determination.
In his special message on his 3rd martyrdom anniversary on Sunday, she said Gilani was a courageous leader who devoted his whole life to the struggle of Kashmir. She stressed that Gilani was more than just a leader, as he embodied the spirit of a visionary, a thinker, a revolutionary, and a symbol of sacrifice and victory.
Mushaal Malik added that Gilani’s name became synonymous with resistance, inspiring generations of Kashmiris to stand up for their rights. She said his unwavering commitment to the Kashmir cause left an indelible mark on the movement.
She highlighted the remarkable vision of Gilani which continues to guide the people of Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination. She said his sacrifices, have become a beacon of hope for those fighting for their rights.
Mushaal Malik remembered martyred Syed Ali Shah Gilani’s two iconic slogans, which continue to resonate with the Kashmiri people. The first slogan, “Pakistan Humara hai, hum Pakistani hain” (“Pakistan is ours, we are Pakistanis”), reflected Gilani’s strong commitment to the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and their affinity with Pakistan.
The second slogan, “Na biknay walay hain, na jhuknay walay hain” (“We will neither sell out nor surrender”), showed Gilani’s unshakeable resolve to resist oppression and fight for rights.
She stressed that these slogans continue to inspire and motivate the Kashmiri people in their ongoing struggle. Malik said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will not go in vain, and their blood will not be wasted.
She said the sacrifices will soon yield results, and the Kashmiri people will soon achieve their objective. Mushaal Malik emphasized that Gilani’s sacrifices will continue to fuel the movement until this goal is achieved, and the people of Kashmir can live with dignity and autonomy.
