While talking to a news channel, she said, “Kashmiri people must be granted an opportunity to decide their future by themselves.”  She added that The Modi government uses crude and illegal tactics to stop Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders from the freedom movement.

She called upon the global human rights organizations and the international community to put pressure on India to cease its state-sponsored acts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to uphold the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

The Minister said that the authorities in charge of prisons not only subject these detainees to inhumane treatment but also intentionally prolong their unlawful detention by not producing them in court on the scheduled dates for hearings in the fabricated cases filed against them.

She emphasized that the Kashmiri people will settle for nothing less than complete freedom from India, given their immense sacrifices and unwavering determination to persist in their struggle until they achieve their goal.
