In the PSL 10 opener, hosts and reigning champions Islamabad United comprehensively outplayed Lahore Qalandars, thanks to a stellar debut performance by Jason Holder—who claimed four wickets—and Munro’s commanding half-century.
United’s bowling unit, led by Holder, justified captain Shadab Khan’s decision to bowl first by restricting the Qalandars to a modest 139 all out in 19.2 overs, despite a resilient fifty by Abdullah Shafique.
In reply, Islamabad United comfortably chased down the 140-run target, losing only two wickets and with 14 balls to spare, marking a dominant start to their campaign.
Munro anchored the innings with an unbeaten 59, including seven boundaries and a six, while all-rounder Salman Ali Agha contributed a composed 43 not out off 34 deliveries, striking three fours and a six.
