KARACHI: Mufti Azam Pakistan Maulana Rafi Usmani has passed away at age of 86 after prolonged illness, local media reported on Friday. He was president of Darul Uloom Karachi, patron-in-chief of Wafaq-ul-Madaris Pakistan. The late Mufti Azam was the elder brother of Mufti Taqi Usmani.
Mufti Raffi Usmani was born in Deoband in 1936. He wrote several books and was among the leading scholars in the country.
