MOSCOW: Russia claimed on Wednesday its troops had destroyed 4 Ukrainian boats carrying up to fifty personnel in the Black Sea.

Russia pulled out of a United Nations (UN) agreement earlier that ensured safe passage for grain consignments crossing the Black Sea. Russian President Vladimir Putin had said that Moscow withdrew from the Black Sea grain deal because it lost meaning. The agreement was inked to ensure the safe export of Ukrainian grains.

The UN also warned of escalating military actions in the Black Sea after Russia said its Navy conducted a live fire drill there, having declared that vessels traveling to Ukraine would be considered possible military targets.
