GAZA: Over 30 people have been killed in an Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp in central Gaza late Saturday, health ministry in Gaza said, amid current war between Israel and Hamas.
A spokesman for the Health Ministry in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qidra also confirmed the attack and said a large number of people were killed in the latest strike, however, he did not provide an exact figure. He further said that scores of people with severe wounds were laying in the hospital’s emergency ward. AFP news agency cited an eyewitness in the region as saying that several homes had been impacted by an air raid.

Earlier, the Palestinian Health Ministry said that at least 13 people were killed and more than 26 others wounded in a ‘massacre’ after a barbaric Israeli airstrike targeted ambulances in Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza on Friday.

A government official said Israeli army targeted “a convoy of ambulances which was shifting the injured”, while the health ministry stated several wounded were killed in the attack near Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. In a statement, a top UN official said that more than 1.5 million people have been displaced due to war on Gaza. “The present number of displaced in the Gaza Strip stands at over 1.5 million, with more than 690,000 sheltering in UNWRA centers, and other areas Gazans’ hope are safe, including schools, hospitals and churches,” Lynn Hastings, UN official Occupied Palestinian Territory, stated.
