LAHORE: Rains with lightning are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, northeastern Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), the met office said on Sunday.
According to the met office, the Lower regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan, southern and northeastern Punjab, and the Pothohar region is expected to face downpour accompanied by thunder and lightning.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s report said that rain with lightning occurred in the country’s capital Islamabad, Punjab, some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, GB, Balochistan, and upper Sindh, while some regions experienced even severe rainfall during the last 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, Islamabad’s Saidpur area received 98mm of rain, Golra 79mm, Bokra 62mm, and Airport 7mm during the last 24 hours. Met office stated that it was followed by Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 72mm, Chaklala 54mm), Kotli and Larkana 52mm, and Saidu Sharif 42mm.
