ISLAMABAD: To curb the pro-freedom activities, more Indian troops have been deployed in the districts of Poonch and Rajouri of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian police have spread its agents in villages close to the Line of Control to pass on information about pro-freedom activists in the districts, Kashmir Media Service reported.

Indian security forces have continued their search operations across various regions in Rajouri, Poonch, and Reasi districts. Drones have been deployed for continuous surveillance in the rugged terrains of Rajouri and Poonch districts.

To enhance vigilance in these areas, the police in Rajouri and Poonch districts have created WhatsApp groups comprising residents residing near the Line of Control (LoC) and other sensitive zones.

These groups serve as a means for local communities to share information when they come across any activities associated with pro-freedom movements.

Furthermore, the Village Defence Guards (VDGs), under the purview of the Indian army, have been assigned the responsibility of monitoring the movements of mujahideen, particularly during nighttime hours.
