PESHAWAR: In the wake of the overnight terrorist attack on security men deployed at the Mol Pakistan Oil and Gas Company plant in district Hangu, the company has temporarily shut down production from its two wells until an on-site regulatory investigation is completed. This was stated in a statement issued by the company on Tuesday.
The statement further said that last night the terrorists opened indiscriminate firing at the security personnel who were posted on the spot.
During the incident, no proper employees were present at the scene. However, unfortunately, 6 members of the security personnel from a Paramilitary force and contractors from a third party who were guarding the area were killed.
Production on Other wells to Continue
After the incident, the Mol Company decided to shut down two wells in the TAL Block in Pakistan. However, production at other wells would be continued without interruption as these were situated at a distance from the area where the incident occurred.
The statement also maintained that the overall production and supply of the company was not interrupted and would be continued across the country.
