LAHORE: Mohsin Naqvi, the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, has been elected as Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman unopposed, local media reported. He will work for three year after his election. He has replaced Zaka Ashraf following his resignation on January 19, just before the expiration of his latest three-month extension as interim chairman of the country’s top body.

Mohsin Naqvi, nominated as a member of the BoG by the PCB’s patron last week, emerged as a prominent candidate for the chairman’s role. The election, conducted under the supervision of Election Commissioner Shah Khawar at the prestigious National Cricket Academy, Lahore underscoring the significance of the event in Pakistan cricket administration. The Governing Board, representing various regions and organizations, played a pivotal role in the decision-making process, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive representation.
