ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, achieved a significant milestone during the second T20I against New Zealand at Seddon Park, Hamilton. Rizwan now holds the record for the most sixes in T20 Internationals (T20Is) for Pakistan, surpassing Mohammad Hafeez.
The 31-year-old cricketer has amassed a remarkable total of 77 sixes in T20I cricket, overtaking Mohammad Hafeez, who previously held the record with 76 sixes. This accomplishment solidifies Rizwan’s position as a formidable force in the Pakistani T20I lineup.

The record-setting moment occurred during Pakistan’s chase of 195 runs in the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand. Rizwan made an impactful start to the chase by hitting a six off Tim Southee. Despite his early dismissal, Rizwan’s aggressive style of play has made him a key player for Pakistan in the T20 format.
In the same match, star batsman Babar Azam showcased his batting prowess by scoring 66 runs off 43 balls, featuring nine boundaries. However, Pakistan faced challenges in the chase and ultimately fell short by 21 runs, giving New Zealand a significant advantage in the series.
