ISLAMABAD: Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has made a significant leap in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Rankings, moving up eight places to secure the sixth position among the world’s top all-rounders.
This rise comes after an impressive performance in the first T20I against South Africa, where Nawaz played a pivotal role despite Pakistan’s 55-run loss.
In the Rawalpindi match, Nawaz delivered a standout performance with the ball, taking three crucial wickets, and with the bat, he scored a quickfire 36 runs off just 20 balls.
His all-round display was one of the few highlights for Pakistan in the loss, showcasing his valuable contributions to the team.
Sahibzada Farhan Climbs in Batters’ Rankings
In the T20I batters’ list, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan climbed one spot to 11th place, with 670 rating points, solidifying his status as Pakistan’s top-ranked T20I batter.
Mohammad Rizwan also saw an improvement, rising one position to 40th, while Babar Azam remained steady at 39th.
Bowlers’ Rankings: Abrar Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi Drop
Among the bowlers, there were some shifts, with Abrar Ahmed slipping one place to 8th, and Shaheen Shah Afridi falling two spots to 16th.
Sufiyan Muqeem and Haris Rauf also dropped, settling at 19th and 34th, respectively. Nawaz, however, continued his upward trend in the bowlers’ rankings, jumping six places to 33rd.
Minor Shifts in ICC Men’s ODI Rankings
In the ODI rankings, Mohammad Rizwan moved up one spot to 24th in the batting rankings. Imam-ul-Haq and Saim Ayub followed closely at 40th and 53rd, respectively. Salman Ali Agha, however, slipped to 39th.
Among ODI bowlers, Shaheen Afridi gained one place, moving up to 14th, while Abrar Ahmed and Naseem Shah also gained a position, sitting at 38th and 43rd, respectively. Mohammad Nawaz dropped three spots to 72nd.
All-Rounders’ ODI Rankings
Salman Ali Agha climbed to 19th in the ODI all-rounder rankings, while Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah held steady at 27th and 36th. Haris Rauf and Saim Ayub advanced jointly to the 55th position in the all-rounders’ rankings.
