ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has shared his thoughts on the ongoing comparison between the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Both the cricket leagues are scheduled in the same window this year, featuring players from across the cricketing nations.

With the overlap in their schedules, the debate about which league is the best has reignited on social media, as fans continue to compare their popularity and influence on the sport.

Mohammad Hafeez has now joined the conversation about the rivalry between the PSL and IPL.

In a post on X, a fan asked the former Pakistan captain for his opinion on the comparison between the two leagues.

Providing entertainment

In response, Hafeez declined to draw any comparisons, stating that both leagues offer great entertainment to cricket fans worldwide.

“There is NO comparison at all. To me, both leagues (IPL & PSL) provide fantastic entertainment to cricket fans around the world,” he wrote in his post.

The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League kicked off with a star-studded opening ceremony on 11th April.

PSL 10 will run from 11th April to 18th May, featuring 34 matches. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 of these, including the two Eliminators and the final.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on 13th May, while Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches.
