ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has raised serious concerns over the aggressive measures employed by the Narendra Modi-led Indian government in Indian illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to quash the Kashmiris’ rightful struggle for self-determination.
In a recent statement reported by Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman vehemently denounced the arbitrary termination of government employees, including prominent figures like President of Doctors Association Kashmir Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan, Salam Rathar, Abdul Majeed Butt, and Farooq Ahmad Mir, from their services. The dismissals, conducted without any inquiry, are seen as part of the BJP regime’s anti-Kashmiri policy.
The APHC spokesman urged international human rights organizations to press India to halt the victimization of the people of occupied Kashmir, who are merely demanding their fundamental right to self-determination. The organization reiterated the unwavering resolve of the Kashmiri people to persist in their struggle for freedom from Indian oppression. Furthermore, they called upon India to honor its commitments, allowing Kashmiris to determine their destiny through the exercise of their right to self-determination.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Sultan Butt, an APHC-AJK leader, expressed grave concern about the escalating state terrorism in IIOJK, characterizing it as systematic genocide against the Kashmiri population. Butt paid tribute to the recently martyred Kashmiri youth in Kulgam, Baramulla, Rajori, and other areas. He lamented the global community’s silence in the face of the atrocities perpetrated by India and Israel against Muslims in Kashmir and Palestine, respectively.
