SRINAGAR: Political experts and analysts in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) region have voiced their serious concerns, branding India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a major obstacle to peace in South Asia.
According to statements gathered by the Kashmir Media Service, political experts argue that since Modi assumed power, threats to regional peace have multiplied, attributing these concerns to the hegemonic designs of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-backed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in India.
The experts emphasized that India’s policies have long stalled progress towards a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, a conflict that has persisted for decades. They firmly asserted that true peace in South Asia would remain elusive until the Kashmir issue is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Indian Govt’s Illegal Actions Threatening Regional Peace
Criticism was particularly directed at the Modi regime’s actions on August 5, 2019, which were deemed illegal. The experts argued that these actions showcased New Delhi’s blatant disregard for regional peace. They further highlighted India’s aggressive occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, coupled with its confrontational policies, as factors severely affecting peace and stability in South Asia.
Furthermore, the analysts underscored that South Asia’s peace remains under constant threat due to India’s aggressive stance towards its neighbors. They pointed out that Pakistan has consistently alerted the global community about India’s destabilizing activities in the region, urging international stakeholders to take notice of India’s role as a disruptor of peace in South Asia.
