ISLAMABAD: Pakistani models Nimra Jacob and Hasnain Lehri were allegedly involved in a fierce argument backstage at this year’s Textile EXPO fashion show, it was revealed on Sunday.
After the incident, Nimra Jacob accused Lehri of physical assault and verbal abuse.
Footage of the argument was shared on the social media platform Instagram, where the two showbiz stars could be seen engaging in a verbal fight.
Following the incident, Nimra Jacob demanded that their safety be taken seriously. She shared a series of Insta stories saying, “You can’t mistreat me. You can’t threaten me. You can’t bully me. And you surely will not put your hands on me without consequences”.
Models Face Too Much Abuse
She said that models in the industry have seen too much abuse and disrespect.
Nimra said she has no space for forgiveness regarding harassment, bullying, abuse, and assault.
The model alleged that she was threatened without any plausible reason, verbally abused, and physically attacked, and her property was taken and used to blackmail her.
Nimra added that this all happened at work, where she made sure to bring it to the attention of the event’s management that the perpetrator was threatening her before becoming violent.
The model said that she refused to let anyone threaten, abuse, belittle, or intimidate herself or her colleagues. She vowed to call out the “harassers, abusers, and bullies for exactly who and what they are.” Lehri has not yet responded to the model’s shocking accusations.
