ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: International companies have started shutting down their mobile phone assembling units in Pakistan due to a shortage of dollars.
It has been learned that three big international companies have closed down their mobile phone assembling units which sent a wave of concern among cell phone traders in Lahore, Pakistan.
Mobile phone companies facing issues
Traders Rights President Sardar Azhar Sultan said, “Due to the shortage of dollars, cell phone companies are facing issues in sending capital to their head offices abroad,”.
“The business community faces difficulties in importing cell phone accessories. The Letters of Credit are not being opened. Goods are not coming. How could the businesses run?” he expressed grave concern.
