SRINAGAR: Miss World Karolina Bielawska arrived in the occupied Kashmir on a day-long tour for an event, on Monday.
Hailing from Poland, Bielawska, accompanied by fellow pageant victors including Sini Shetty, Miss World India, enjoyed a lavish breakfast at a luxurious five-star hotel in the region, joined by esteemed dignitaries.
Throughout the course of the day, both Ms. Bielawska and Ms. Shetty were joined by Shree Saini, Miss World America, as well as Julia Morley, the Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization, for an extensive tour.
Notably, this visit by Ms. Bielawska to Jammu and Kashmir marks a historic moment, being the first instance of an international beauty pageant titleholder gracing the region.This visit precedes the eagerly anticipated 71st edition of Miss World 2023 pageant, scheduled to take place in India later this year.
India, which has already won the prestigious title six times, is hosting the pageant after nearly three decades as the country hosted the event last time in 1996.
