ISLAMABAD: Mishal Hussein Malik, the wife of senior Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik Friday has urged the world to intervene and ‘Save Kashmir from Indian Clutches as India continuously snatching the basic rights of the innocent people of Kashmir, including their right to freedom, self-determination, and even their basic identity.
In her message to ‘Youm-e-Istehsal day she highlighted the need for international pressure to force India to reverse its illegal acts of August 5, 2019, which have led to a humanitarian crisis and egregious human rights abuses in the entire region.
She asked the world to support Kashmiri people’s quest for freedom, justice, and self-determination. Mishal Hussein Malik question to the world, asking when they would reply to India’s blatant snatching of Kashmiris’ social, property, and economic rights.
She also lamented that the world has remained silent as New Delhi continues to perpetrate atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), leaving the people of Kashmir vulnerable to exploitation and oppression.
Malik’s query also highlights the urgency of the current situation, as Kashmiris face dispossession, economic strangulation and cultural erasure, their fundamental rights trampled by India’s authoritarian grip.
She also implores the global community to awaken to the Kashmiris’ plight and demand accountability from New Delhi for its egregious violations of human rights and global law. Mishal Hussein Malik also expressed her gratitude towards Pakistan for its unwavering support for Kashmiris, saying, Pakistan consistent position on the Kashmir issue, adding that their diplomatic boycott and pressure tactics have helped bring global attention to the plight of Kashmiris.
She lauded Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to standing up for the rights of the people of Kashmir, even in the face of Indian aggression and propaganda.
Mishal Malik thanked Islamabad for being a steadfast ally to the Kashmiris, consistently advocating for their rights and dignity in the face of New Delhi oppression.
She has also spoken out against Indian government’s attempts to change the demographic composition of Kashmir, which she warned would have catastrophic consequences for the indigenous population in the region.
She has also highlighted the plight of Kashmiri political prisoners and warned against New Delhi’s attempts to change Kashmir’s demographics.
