President Mirziyoyev has played a crucial role in strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a regional leader and promoting regional cooperation. His initiatives, such as the establishment of the Central Asian Dialogue Platform and the revitalization of the Aral Sea region, have fostered stronger ties with neighboring countries. Uzbekistan’s active engagement in resolving regional conflicts, including its efforts to mediate between Afghanistan and the Taliban, further underscores its commitment to regional stability.

Another significant achievement of Mirziyoyev’s previous tenure has been the emphasis on infrastructure development and connectivity. The president’s ambitious programs have revitalized the country’s transportation network, including the construction of new roads, railways, and airports. Uzbekistan is also eyeing access to the Pakistani ports of Karachi, Gwadar, and Qasim as part of diversifying its supply routes and increasing volumes of Euro-Asian trade. Indeed the country has the potential to achieve new milestones in its economic journey. We expect that under Mirziyoyev’s leadership, the focus on the implementation of regional connectivity projects will be expedited for the benefit of the people of the whole region.
