ISLAMABAD: Mint lassi is a refreshing and traditional South Asian yogurt-based drink flavored with mint leaves. It’s refreshing for Iftars and a perfect product for spicy and fried meals.

Here’s a simple recipe to make mint lassi at home:

Ingredients:

1 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup cold water, 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, 1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste), a pinch of black salt, ice cubes (optional), mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, combine the plain yogurt, cold water, chopped mint leaves, sugar, and black salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth and frothy.
  3. Taste the lassi and adjust the sweetness according to your preference by adding more sugar if needed.
  4. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add less water or more yogurt.
  5. Once blended to your desired consistency and taste, transfer the lassi to serving glasses.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of mint leaves if desired.

You can also customize your mint lassi by adding a pinch of ground ginger, a squeeze of lemon juice, or a few ice cubes for extra chill. Adjust the ingredients according to your taste preferences, and feel free to experiment with different variations!
