Minister Vows to Provide Quality Healthcare Facilities to Masses

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Health Services Dr Nadeem Jan on Wednesday said that the provision of quality medical facilities to the public was a top priority of the government.

Talking to a Private news channel, he highlighted the government’s significant initiative to alleviate the strain on hospitals, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare services nationwide. Additionally, he emphasized the promotion of a research culture in the healthcare sector, noting the necessity for Pakistan to intensify efforts towards delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.

Dr. Jan reiterated the government’s dedication to revolutionizing the healthcare landscape, with a key objective being the utilization of digital technology for streamlining health-related processes to enhance the health and well-being of the populace.

In response to a query, he emphasized the importance of investing in human capital, considering the public as a vital asset of the nation. He outlined the government’s roadmap and coordinated mechanism designed to ensure improved health facilities for all citizens, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

Furthermore, Dr. Jan highlighted the government’s efforts to enhance the skills of nursing and medical staff through training programs aligned with international standards.
