ISLAMABAD: Minister of States and Frontier Region, Engineer Amir Muqam, has condemned the malicious campaign against Pakistan’s Armed Forces. In a news conference in Islamabad, he criticized a political party for continuing its efforts to destabilize the country, similar to the incidents of May 9, when state institutions, including Radio Pakistan, were targeted and memorials of martyrs were disgraced.
Muqam praised the Armed Forces’ sacrifices in the war against terrorism and their services to the nation. He also condemned the attack on the Pakistani Consulate in Germany, attributing it to individuals seeking to create tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Addressing the situation in Bannu, Muqam affirmed every political party’s right to protest but emphasized that peace and the economy should not be politicized. He condemned the targeting of state institutions in Bannu and called for a Joint Investigation Team to probe the incident.
Muqam highlighted Pakistan’s progress towards economic stability, crediting the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Army Chief. He stressed the importance of collective efforts for the country’s peace and progress.
