Meteorological Department Forecasts Rain in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Rain is expected in most parts of the country, while cloudy weather with rain, wind, and hailstorms is expected in north Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and upper and central Punjab as per Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met).

Rain

Moderate to isolated heavy snow and rain is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, and Galliyat, as per Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met).

Air quality

The air quality in Lahore is 195 US AQI; in Bahawalpur, it is 148, 175 in Muridke, 80 in Mangla, and 163 in Rawalpindi, 170 in Faisalabad. In Sindh, the air quality in Karachi is 110 US AQI, while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 95. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the air quality in Peshawar is 165, while 59 in Abbottabad.

Recorded temperatures

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET), a maximum of 13 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 12°C in Lahore, 21°C in Karachi, 13°C in Peshawar, and 3°C in Gilgit.

Minimum recorded temperatures

Today’s Recorded Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Leh -10, Kalam -09, Astore -07, Gupis -05, Parachinar and Skardu -04.
