Met Office Predicts Snowfall, Rain in Murree, Galiyat and Northern Areas

ISLAMABAD: After the recent two spells, Pakistan Metrological Department has predicted further rain along with snowfall in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan over the next few days.

The Met Office also predicted that the ongoing rainy season would remain continued till Monday to Tuesday where the mountains in upper parts are likely to receive snow.

In addition, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in a statement urged the local administration particularly in Murree, Galiyat and adjacent areas to ensure safety measures to tackle any potential risks on time.

PDMA also advised the locals and tourists to cooperate with the administration and avoid unnecessary travelling along with keep themselves informed from the government officials and media about the weather updates before moving if necessary.

It is worth mentioning here that the recent weather system bringing rain entered Northern and western parts of the country resulting heavy rain in most parts of Baluchistan including Gwadar. Due to heavy rain in Gwadar, most parts of the city have been flooded by water and also disconnecting Baluchistan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by road.
