LONDON: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received a sweet piece of advice from a Hollywood filmmaker regarding their move to the entertainment industry. Paul Duddridge suggested that the couple could utilize the ongoing industry strike as an opportunity to review their creative plans and strategize their next moves.

Duddridge mentioned to Express UK, “Harry and Meghan may yet turn out to be beneficiaries of the strike. It will give them a much-needed chance to review their creative strategies while using the industry shutdown as cover.”

However, the filmmaker also offered a word of caution, stating that this might be the last chance for the couple to salvage their public image. He believes that Meghan and Harry have the potential to positively impact their reputation through a critical success in the creative sphere, urging them to seize this opportunity.

Major Strike in Hollywood Industry

The Hollywood industry is currently facing its first industry-wide strike in 63 years, with actors and writers united in their demands for better pay in the streaming era. The strike has led to the suspension of all US movie and television productions, except for limited exceptions like reality and game shows. Members of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) are prohibited from promoting their projects during the strike.

The unions’ concerns revolve around the challenges of dwindling pay in the streaming era and the potential threat to their careers and livelihoods posed by artificial intelligence.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to venture into the entertainment industry has been closely scrutinized, and this industry strike presents a unique moment for them to reassess their creative strategies and potentially make a positive impact on their public perception.
