MADRID: France footballer Kylian Mbappe stated that he was so convinced he would one day play for Real Madrid that he started taking Spanish classes at school. “Since I was a kid, I knew my destiny was to play for Real Madrid,” he said.

Kylian Mbappe surprised media persons by speaking in near flawless Spanish, which he stated he had started learning at school and then continued to practice with Spanish-speaking managers such as Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique at Paris St Germain as he knew he would need to speak it one day at his dream club.

He said that he was not the best at school but he had this dream of playing for Real Madrid and he knew that speaking the language would help him familiarize.

Real Madrid has announced in June that Mbappe was joining the LaLiga side as a free agent on a five-year contract, concluding a transfer saga that had rumbled on for many years.
