ISLAMABAD: The unprecedented sacrifices made for the security and peace of the homeland and the elimination of terrorism can never be forgotten. In this regard, the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, FC, Rangers, Police, and other law-enforcement agencies could not be forgotten.
To honour the selfless sacrifices of the Pakistani martyrs, it has been decided to observe “Pakistan Martyrs’ Reverence Day” on May 25. This day aims to remind people of the martyrs’ eternal sacrifices. Still, it also conveys to the nation that every Pakistani takes pleasure in respecting and honouring the martyrs, their families, and their memorials. On Pakistan Martyrs’ Reverence Day, celebrations will be held nationwide to honor the country’s martyrs.
Special events and programmes include recitation of the Quran and prayers for martyrs nationwide. A salute to the Martyrs’ Memorial of Pakistan Army, Police, and other law-enforcement agencies nationwide would be observed.
However, the main event would be held at GHQ Martyrs’ Memorial along with commemorations to be marked at the martyrs’ monument of the Pakistan Naval Headquarters, Pakistan Air Force, and Police.
Ceremonies honoring Martyrs’ Day will also be held in the province capitals, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. In addition, the Fatiha will be recited at martyrs’ graves throughout the country.
Pakistan’s Martyrs’ Day is a day of pledge renewal that aims to erase hate and resentment while honoring our martyrs with a message of tolerance, love, peace, and hope.
